4th Medical Mission to Kingston, Jamaica 🇯🇲

From August 9th-11th, 2022, HAWI, in collaboration with the Roderic and Sophia Baker Foundation, and the Terri Foundation, organized a transformative medical mission to Kingston, the heart of Jamaica. Led by dedicated volunteers, including the esteemed Dr. Jeffries G. Davis and the compassionate Dr. Simone Darville, the mission aimed to address the healthcare needs of the local community. With a focus on holistic care, the team provided not only over 1,000 essential medications, but also offered invaluable medical advice tailored to improve the overall well-being of hundreds of individuals. Through this collaborative effort, the mission sought to make a positive and lasting impact on the health and lives of the people of Kingston, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity and compassion within the community.

Mask Project

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, efforts were made to distribute masks to struggling communities in Kenya. HAWI, local volunteers and contributors collaborated to provide masks to those in need, especially in marginalized areas where access to such protective gear was limited. This initiative aimed to curb the spread of the virus and protect vulnerable populations from the impact of the pandemic. Volunteers and community leaders played a crucial role in ensuring that the distribution reached those who needed it the most, contributing to the collective effort to combat COVID-19 in Kenya.
